Das da oben sind meine Füße, beim Paragliding zu dem ich in Hamburg recht wenige Gelegenheiten habe. Schade. Aber die Welt hat genug andere interessante Aspekte - einige davon gibt's hier.

EULA für Medizin?
Wikipedia meint zu EULA u.a.:
Ein Endbenutzer-Lizenzvertrag, auch Endbenutzer-Lizenzvereinbarung, abgekürzt EULA (von engl. End User License Agreement), ist eine spezielle Lizenzvereinbarung, welche die Benutzung von Software regeln soll. Texte mit einer EULA werden oftmals zu Beginn der Installation der Software angezeigt.
In Deutschland sind EULA zu Standardsoftware nur dann Vertragsbestandteil, wenn sie zwischen Verkäufer und Erwerber der Software bereits beim Kauf vereinbart wurden. Dem Käufer erst nach dem Kauf zugänglich gemachte Lizenzbestimmungen (zum Beispiel während der Installation oder als gedruckte Beilage in der Verpackung) sind für den Käufer wirkungslos. Dies gilt auch dann, wenn der Käufer bei der Installation "Ich stimme der Lizenzvereinbarung zu" oder Ähnliches anklickt, weil die Software sonst die Installation verweigert.[1].
Könnte man sowas ähnliches nicht auch für Medikamente finden? Dann müssten die Nebenwirkungen schon auf der Packung gedruckt sein oder die Beipackzettel müssten bereits vor dem Kauf zu lesen sein. Zumindest sagt meine Apothekenquittung "Medikamente sind vom Umtausch ausgeschlossen" - wäre schön, wenn bereits vor dem Kauf klar werden würde, was man sich da eigentlich einwerfen soll. Oder der Arzt wäre zuständig, die Nebenwirkungen einzeln durchzusprechen. Nebenwirkungen, die nicht vor dem Kauf bekannt sind, müssen nicht akzeptiert werden. Fände ich sinnvoll!

For years I've been working with tomcat, developing, setting up preproduction and production servers and monitoring them. Some of the habits seem worth publishing - even to provide a checklist for myself.
This is the reason for me to provide a simple checklist and some reasoning here in order to just refer to this article. If you are not (currently) interested in tomcat deployment you wouldn't want to read it (now) - otherwise, please comment if I forgot something or if some details are missing.
